To be a good Tapster you need to be enthusiastic and knowledgeable. And love people too. We want to do everything we can to make our drinkers happy with a perfect beer.
We used to get a few complaints about the amount of foam at the beginning – but we enjoyed explaining why the beer needed it. We tell people the difference between wet foam and the normal dry foam you get in Germany. We say the foam itself is beer – it is creamy and delicious on its own; and stays thick because the tight CO2 bubbles don’t burst so quickly.
The Tapster Programme was tough! We were surprised how difficult it was – but it was also fun and interesting. There is a definite sense of achievement in completing it. In Hamburg people are used to women doing everything! It’s no big deal that Beatriz and I are female Tapsters, female owners and female beer champions.
Over the past few years we are most proud of our reputation – we have nice customers who seek us out for the quality of our beer. We hope that will continue for many more years!

I’d be the best Šnyt in the world! There’s something very satisfying about pouring a Šnyt perfectly – and of course, it is so refreshing and doesn’t fill you up when you drink it.
