“I ENJOY GIVING OTHER PEOPLE JOY ALL THE TIME WITH MY BEER”

I’ve always loved beer. Wherever I am I make a point of trying the local beer. Our bar has seven different beer taps, we even have our own red beer. To be a good Tapster you need passion – the beer makes you care and preserves your knowledge. You need to be curious and willing to learn. You also need to be proud of what you do – to aim to be the best at pouring. Berlin is the longest I’ve lived in any one place. It’s a city where you can be free and do whatever you want. I love the bar culture and I love being a hostess, my role is to make my guests feel comfortable. The area where our bar sits is called ‘Bohemian Village’. It is partnered with Prague and every year they recreate a battle between Czechs and Germans! I am so curious about beer and food. I ferment my own beer – I’m making ginger beer at the moment and second fermenting kombucha. I even collect my own elderflower to make my own syrups.

If you were a beer, what beer would you be?

I’d be a snakebite and black! It’s half lager, half cider with a dash of blackcurrant. It’s all about not taking things too seriously. It is a bit crazy and a bit different!
