“IN CZECH, BEER IS A RELIGION. WE DON’T STAND FOR BAD BEER”

I love that the Tapster family is growing around the world – more people are becoming as passionate and educated about looking after our original golden beer. They are becoming more like Czechs! We are slowly spreading the love, bar by bar and pour by pour. Being a Tapster is a vocation; it’s not something you just do. What you learn and how you feel when you pour the beer stays with you forever. It’s in your heart. I love going to different bars to help educate bartenders and drinkers about the best way to enjoy Pilsner Urquell. It makes me so proud to work with this beer and see other people love it too.

If you were a beer, what beer would you be?

I’d be a half and half. One half would be Pilsner Urquell to represent my country, my passion, my Tapster family and where I was born. The other half would be St. Stefanus, the Belgium beer that first taught me about beer and the brewing process. I lived in Belgium for a year – so it’s part of me. It’s different but expertly made!
