As a Tapster, I show customers how Pilsner Urquell can make their lives more colourful. Pilsner Urquell is still a new brand in Singapore. I love it when customers ask me about the beer. One conversation is all I need to convince someone. And if all else fails, I buy them a beer! When they taste it, they understand. We’re opening three new outlets a month, and they all serve Hladinka. As Brand Ambassador here, Singapore is my bar – and my aim is to build an army of Tapsters to eventually serve all three traditional Czech pours. Beer is expensive so drinkers always think they’re being short-changed when they see so much foam. Singapore is the most expensive city in the world. A pint of Pilsner Urquell costs about $17! When I have a Mlíko people stare at me – they think I’m mad.
If you were a beer, what beer would you be?
I’d be a dark beer. I love coffee – so something with strong coffee notes. Full-bodied and full of flavour, like my character. I’m loud and full on!
